Join Voyageur Outward Bound School on Saturday, September 27, 9 am - 11 am, at Hidden Falls Regional Park Picnic Shelter for a morning filled with adventure and community.

Get outdoors, meet other VOBS Alumni & Friends and help us celebrate the end of an amazing summer and the start of a spectacular school year!

Circle up to hear an update from VOBS. Don't miss our backcountry skill demos featuring backcountry baking and get a chance to learn more about the VOBS four-legged crew members, our dogs! All while enjoying some coffee and s'mores - who says they can't be for breakfast?!

Starting at 9:00 am: Welcome and update from Voyageur Outward Bound School

Demonstrations and Active Learning with VOBS Instructors

Backcountry Baking: Learn how to bake in the backcountry (with tips and tricks).
Knots: Learn how to tie VOBS's top three knots: trucker hitch, bowline, horse thief.
Portaging 101: Learn how to portage a canoe and try out your new knowledge.

Special Guests

Meet some of the VOBS sled dogs!

Learn about the different sled dog activities and how they are harnessed for bikejoring, skijoring, and dog sledding.

And S'mores

Toast your marshmallow to perfection and enjoy a sweet treat along with complimentary beverages.
