CHANGING LIVES FOR GROUPS

Challenge and adventure changes lives. We partner with schools, nonprofits, colleges and professionals for student transformation.

Through customized, relevant programs for youth and adults, we meet the unique needs of our partners. Day and multi-day outdoor adventure courses are designed to cultivate personal strengths and build skills for life’s challenges.

TESTIMONIALS

My greatest takeaway is that we’re better together. Everybody has different strengths and as a team, we get the job done. Everyone has a role to play.

~ Urban Adventure Student

Without the noise of their regular lives, kids have a chance to just be, to hear themselves think, to connect with the larger world. They see the world is big and they start thinking about their place in it.

~ Gayle Smaller, New Lens Urban Mentoring Society

The point of an Outward Bound expedition is to teach you that you can do more than you think you can, and you need your group to help you realize that – how naturally this can occur in a wilderness setting is something I love deeply – it’s why I do this work for a living.

~ Rae-Rae Hedlund, Voyageur Outward Bound Instructor

Final thought: We are all healthy, happy and stronger in both spirit and character.

~ St. Norbert Leadership Expedition Student

We facilitate experiences that push students out of their comfort zones while teaching social and emotional skills like collaboration, perseverance and problem-solving.

~ Ed Daugherty, Program Director, Twin Cities Center

You could pull the rope, but you’ll do better with your own two hands on the rock. Trust yourself.

~ Phoenix Military Academy Expedition Student

The relationship between our organizations is great for our community.

~ Poppy Potter, Director of Development

CANOE COUNTRY, City Streets & HIGH DESERT

With three unique bases, we put groups on course in awe-inspiring wilderness and urban locations across Minnesota and in Texas.

Our students paddle the pristine Boundary Waters Canoe Area, kayak the largest lake in the world, climb Sioux Quartzite bluffs, adventure across the Twin Cities, hike high desert country in Big Bend and brave rapids on the Rio Grande.
